HIGHWAY 97 Closures through project site
Please take a few moments to see the Salute to those who brought the Rock Slip down.
Send an email to jacqui.lloyd @ gov.bc.ca to be added to the traffic/project information email list.
Daytime Delays : May 2010 - 7am to 5pm
Expect short duration delays on a rotating basis - possible single lane alternating traffic
near the high scaling fence and some closures - up to 20 minutes. These are not scheduled
and will be as required.
... we appreciate your patience. Delays should be minor now as the high rock
work is essentially complete. Mesh will be installed on the slopes which will require random delays
for helicopter placement and for occasion scaling activities - again, stoppages up to 20 minutes.
... Drive cautiously ... minor repairs to signage or ditching may
occur at ANY TIME.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Expect minor delays.
NIGHT CLOSURES
There will be NO night Closures for the forseeable future.
