Overview
Sandhill Materials is an aggregate development and sales company producing high quality sand and gravel materials. Our Sandhill resource has supplied quality aggregates in the local market for over 75 years and is ideally situated to support development projects in northwest British Columbia.
Located in Kitimat, BC, the Sandhill aggregate resource is a 267-hectare property close to port facilities with ice-free, sheltered, deep-water passage. The material is hard with good grading and separation for use as high-quality aggregates for concrete, asphalt, and construction. The Sandhill property has two separate and distinct resources: natural sand and gravel, and quarry rock.
The Sandhill Site
The Sandhill site in Kitimat, BC holds a confirmed total of 100 million+ tonnes of in-situ sand and gravel along with an estimated 400 million tonnes of quarry rock. The company plans to develop export capacity up to eight million tonnes per year, supplying markets along the west coast of North America.
Scope of Work
Sandhill manages its largest-scale production operation in Kitimat, BC, supplying materials for projects to companies such as LNG Canada and Rio Tinto Alcan.
