The JGC Fluor BC LNG Joint Venture (JFJV) - a joint venture between JGC Corporation (JGC) and Fluor Corporation (Fluor) - was selected by LNG Canada Development Inc. (LNGC) as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor of their liquified natural gas export facility in Kitimat, BC.
Sandhill has an exclusive agreement with LNGC to provide specified fill, bedding materials, and specialty aggregate products as required for their liquified natural gas export project in Kitimat, BC.
To meet the aggregate demands for LNGC's liquified natural gas export project, Sandhill increased its Kitimat operations to 24/7; upgraded and built haul roads; and expanded its heavy equipment fleet by adding two D11 dozers, a second mobile crushing plant, a tunnel feeder, a custom-designed grizzly rock screen, and more.
Site development at the mine and quarry increased and Sandhill proceeded with the development of temporary industrial land for use by the various companies supporting the LNG Canada project.
